The Revenue Leak
Ciao Bella Fashion made ongoing investments in paid traffic, yet the webshop failed to capitalize on that traffic. RPV analysis revealed where the revenue was leaking: mobile performance lagged significantly behind desktop, even though the majority of traffic arrived via mobile. The gap between the top-performing segment and the rest of the shop represented the leak—a structural issue rather than an operational one.
The root cause lay in the platform itself: a standard theme cluttered with stacked apps, load times that couldn't meet standards within that stack, and a content team dependent on developers for every campaign page. Optimizing within that framework hit a hard ceiling.
The strategy: fix the engine first, then fine-tune.
The Rebuild
A headless storefront built on Shopify Hydrogen using Sanity as the CMS. Product data remains in Shopify, while campaign content moves to Sanity—allowing the marketing team to publish landing pages independently, without developer involvement. The analytics layer and AI foundation were built-in from the start, not tacked on later.
Deliverables:
- Hydrogen storefront powered by the Shopify Storefront API
- Mobile Core Web Vitals within standard limits (verified via field data post-launch)
- Sanity CMS for landing pages, campaign content, and SEO
- RPV dashboard (segmented by channel and device), operational from day one
- Structured data and product feeds as the foundation
- Klaviyo flows and Meta tracking integrated with the new storefront
The Result
Mix-normalized RPV up 15% compared to the pre-rebuild baseline, 30 days post-launch. Organic traffic recovered to 100% of the baseline within 30 days.
More importantly: the ceiling is gone. Every euro subsequently invested in optimization or media yields a higher return.
More revenue from the same traffic.
